Need Advice on my First Bimmer Purchase

Hi fellow Bimmer enthusiasts,

Before i ask you my question i would like to introduce my self, i am a recent college grad, that came out of the university during the worst economic downturn ( 2009), i loved the bimmer since i was a child and i swore that i would some day own one on my own. I am an engineer and i could not find any better engineered car than the ultimate driving machine.I bought a 99 corolla during my first job and using it for the past two years, hoping to save money so that, someday buy an actual bimmer. Here i a now ready get my first dream car

Here's my dilemma, i am in the market for my first bimmer and my budget is around 25K-27K, i am stuck between choosing a 328i with relatively low miles and 335i with some miles on it, i was hoping to buy a 2009 model so that there is some warranty left on it.

Some of my friends suggest that i should go for 335i since, its just great and they say that i would later regret not buying it after owning the 328i for a couple of months, some are totally against it, ranting its HPFP issues and suggest that i should get a 328i.

Here are my priorities, i would really like a fun car to drive and one that would not cost me too much to maintain it for the next three years.

So i would really appreciate any input on helping me make a decision on which one should i select.
