I just bought a 94 530i and the drivers side seat belt cover is broken off. Anyone know how to fix it. I can't figure out where the wire tucks away at.

Can you glue the black covers back together? Might be better off getting a while new seat belt receptacle if you can't find out where the wire goes, and/or if the covers are busted. I have one if you find you're in need of it.

Thanks I will try gluing it back on. How much do you want for the new receptacle?

The microswitch controls the seatbelt warning chime. If its already fastened you wont get the chime.

The microswitch sits in the plastic housing of the receptacle. The one in your photo with the outside facing out.

The best thing to do is get a whole new assembly since it is a pretensioner assembly and its safety may be compromised.
