Hi just recently my car (e46 02 330i) was making a high pinch noise only at low speeds. I took it to the mechanic and we figured out it was the front brakes and rotors. Got those changed but now sometimes when i brake and let go there's a grinding noise. I read the other forums and it seems to me this is normal. Has anyone experienced similar?

If they're brand-new coated rotors, they make make some noise as you knock off that protective coating on the braking surface. It'll go away after a few stops.

Well i driven it about 40 miles already and it's still there. I didn't notice it yesterday when i took it from the shop.

it looks like the brake pads are getting scratched. is this normal? The pads are new.
