Hi All,

Scottn2retro suggested I come here and post my question. Here's the deal. I have a Boston Green Z3 with a beige interior. I've added a few Leather Z accessories in black leather, and now I've recovered and installed some M Roadster seats from a salvage. Here's the pic:

Here's my question -- are the skins on the Z3 standard seat removable, or, in the words of a local upholstery shop, is the foam cushion "blown" in so that the foam is stuck to the skins? If the latter, is there a way for me to disassemble the old seats so I don't have to send the entire thing to someone who wants to buy them for the skins only? E.g., maybe I could send him the covered cushions and, with the proper instructions, he could just replace his with mine?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I owe part of it to your kindness and expertise. Thanks, Scott!!

By the way, we drove in the roadster tonight down to San Diego and those seats were very comfortable.:)

So you were the green roadster I saw fly by. I'm in Carmel Valley tonight myself. :)

Sport seats do feel nice. :bigpimp:

Thanks, Eric. Now we just need to have that tech day so we can experiment with stuff like the tilt mod. Although, if feeling "bucketed in" is the standard, I feel much more that way in these seats than I did in the standard seats anyway, I'm not sure I need more. Moreoever, I still have yet to play with all the seat positioning options.

Are you going on the So Cal Z3 drive on Oct. 5?
