Maybe some of you have seen this before... Anyway here are some pics of the new BMW 1-series, rear-wheel drive, 240 HP.

This car looks so much better as a convertable I think; The top does not seem to fit this model somehow, at least in these limited photos.

Looks like a PS job of the CS1 concept convertible...There are so many tell tale signs.

Also, the 1 series is suppose to be a 4 door hatchback, not a 2 door coupe.

At least the bootlid and headlights fit with the lines on this one.

How are they proposing to get 240hp out of a small block 4 banger??

I think with the hard top, there's hope for the car. Look even better in Orient Blue :D

Here's a bunch of info on the 1/2 series- http://www.bmw2002.co.uk/news.htm

Remember- BMW plans to return to the numbering convention where odd numbers are sedans (1,3,5,7) and evens are coupes (2,4,6). Hence the upcoming roadster will be the Z4 not Z3. When we now call the 3-series will be the 3 and 4 series. And if there's ever another M3, it'll be a sedan. The M version of the E46 Coupe replacement will be an M4.
