Hey guys listen I decided to see if i could get some help here on the fest!

Look I had these style 5s and I never had this problem with the style 5s on my car and I decided to upgrade to the M3 Wheels which are 19 inches ( pictures attached ofcourse) everything is perfect but here is where im stumped!!

THE BRAKES SQEAL! lol I changed changed the pads and rotors and sensors with like 3 different combinations already but it still does it. I even pit disc brake quiet on the back of the pads, still does it! Now mind this is using the 528i original brakes. So my question is!

Is there something in this world I can do or is it because I need a big brake kit.

The reason the big brake kit come to my mind as a solution is because (my mind) thinks that since the wheel is bigger and the circumference is greater it need more surface area for pad and rotor contact, and right now its not getting it lol

I dont know if im right or what but maybe someone can help ... actually.. please help me.. no .. i didnt say it right ... I meant to say PLEASE I HELP ME !!!! I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER !!!!:thumbup:

No you dont need BBK. What offset are the 19's? Those have to be replicas right?

IMO, put back your Style 5 and see if it continues to squeal. My guess that it won't. You may want to check the specs on the M3 wheels and make sure it has the correct center bore and offset. I can't imagine you've changed out your brake rotors/pads in 3 different combos.

On a side note, get rid of those M3 wheels......they look awful on a E39 and could be the reason for the squeal.

Sorry didnt see your question lol and yea the offset is 20 they are reps but honestly perfect reps lol like the guy at the dealership wanted to bet me 500 that they were not reps untill I showed him the place I bought them lol

The only way to make those work on your car is to really lower and slam your ride..then maybe it will look decent. What size are you running on those 19's? Something doesn't look right.

They are 19s and its not a sport suspension.. its too high thats the problem. I will lower it later but if I cant fix the squeal then forget it lol Ill just live with it.. I know though it doesnt look right because it needs to be lowered!

What is the centerbore? You switched from classic style 5's to those? and a dual exhaust/muffler setup on an I6 car? Uncle Bens comes to mind.

Its gotta be 74.1 mm E39 centerbore right? All other BMW wheels are smaller in bore and theoretically should not fit at all?

Some may say rice, but I dont see an issue putting dual exhaust setup purely for aesthetic reasons as long as it looks good. Do it if you like it, its your car.

There is an *incredible* amount of misinformation and outright bullsh!t flying around in this thread. IF the wheels are the correct offset and centerbore, and the proper size tires are mounted on them, then they will work just fine....no lowering, big brake kits, or wearing of plaid pants is needed for them to work properly....

Yeaaaa Slam that Joint :banana:... then i bet everybody opinion of the Rims will Change Quick then yea Get the M bumpers and make it look More aggressive :thumbup:

I bet the squealing is something like a wheel weight rubbing on the caliper.

With the corner of the car jacked up a little, spin each wheel while you inspect it closely for anything dragging or rubbing.
Clean your hub flanges *thoroughly* with a wire brush, wipe them down with a rag and some brake cleaner, then apply a very thin smear of waterproof grease to the hub flange before replacing the wheel. Make sure the wheel`s mating surface is spotless as well.
Tighten the lug bolts in 3 stages, in a cross-star pattern....you want them around 80% of final torque value *before* you lower the wheel to the ground, where the final torque can be applied in the last stage. This will ensure a proper hubcentric mounting.
