New Wheels!

Recenlty, I got my baby a new pair of shoes. Went from stock 16" to 19". Running 275/30/19 in the back with Pirelli PZero Rosso's.

Hope this might help others in the process of changing their wheels out. I thought it was a nice comparison.

Thanks geomax,

When I first saw them on I didn't recognize my car:D

It did make a big difference.

I get very little rubbin and thats only when I hit big dips going fast. I dont feel I have lost any speed either running these 19" wheels.

Wow, those look really sharp! :thumb: Are those the Hamann PG2's? That is definitely a huge improvement over the 16's. :thumb: :thumb:
Hey Ackster, Thanks man!

Their the HM2's 8.5 in the front and 10" wide in the back. I think the PG's have the rivets?
I think you're right. The PG'3 def. have rivets. I like these wheels a lot, the only thing I would be concerned about is cleaning them. With all of the brake dust our cars kick up, I think you would need a toothbrush or something to clean around each rivet. This would drive me nuts b/c I am real anal when it comes to keeping my car clean. I already clean my wheels 2-3x a week.

Quick ?, what level of tint do you have on your car? It looks like 15% rear but its hard to tell. I'm trying to figure out what level to get on my car (or if I want to get the blue mirrored tint).:dunno:

Much better! Amazing what the right set of 'shoes' can do to improve the appearance of one's car. How's the handling with the new wheels? :thumb:

Thanks Chris,

Ah the handling is mucho better:)

I played on some twisties today and the PZeros were gripping like a mutha.

My other tires and wheels just wern't wide enough to take the stress of cornering at high speeds.

Was fun watchin my wife shut her eyes around corners heeh:) I would fly around a corner and fully excellerate out of it trying to just get a little squeekage and look at her as I cleared the apex and her eyes would be shut ehhe:)

Major difference . . . the HM2's are hands-down my favorite wheels . . . I came soooooo close to getting a set almost a year ago.

Your car looks incredible . . . enjoy :thumb: :thumb:

(hope you don't mind I'm a little jealous ;)
Thanks Alan,

I have allways liked HM2 wheels and wasn't sure how they would look in a 5 series, but I like em. Don't see many 5ers with HM2.

I think they would look great on just about any bimmer especially 330's:thumb:
Thanks dredmo,

There is just to many nice wheels out their to choose from and had a hella of a time making my mind up:dunno:

What really helped was taking some pics and throwing them on my car in photoshop. Nothing like the real thing!
