We've captured the next generation M5 out testing. This time around BMW was running a cloth camouflage that gives us a good idea what the new front bumper is going to look like. It can be summed up in one word, aggressive!
The G30 5 Series sedan details will be released in the next few months and production starts late in the year. US models should arrive at dealerships in early 2017. Following a few months later the next generation BMW M5 will be released.
With a horsepower number in the 600 range, the twin turbo V8 will need lots of cooling and the new bumper design fits the bill. With intakes for engine radiator cooling air plus auxiliary coolers for the engine oil and transmission the front bumper is more of an air scoop. The styling looks to borrow heavily from the M3/4.
What do you think of the design so far?
