Hi,
just did an engine change on my 2002 2.2i Z3.
Apart from not getting any fuel through (help)
I don't remember disconnecting/reconnecting a throttle mechanism -is
it electronic ?

Drive by wire; should be a servo-motor on the throttle body (at on least USA versions).

Was the replacement engine an exact same year replacement, or just another generic BMW engine?

many thanks,
same year engine but from a 520i saloon,
also kept original inlet manifold and loom.
I have re-connected the loom(s) a couple of times to verify connections but can't get fuel to pump.
