Please can someone help. My e46 is failing to start unless bumped in apart from the very rare time of starting by the key. I hear that this could be the ews module or a faulty oil switch or clutch switch. I have done the usual thing of checking the battery under non start and while running and it seems fine as does the alternator. Relays seem to be clicking and all fuses are soulnd. Any ideas?

How old is that battery ?

i dont know! i do know that all sorts of answers keep popping up. i have just found out that it may be the ignition switch too?

ALWAYS start with the basics....in the absense of a stable power supply, nothing will work right....

Battery is most likely. What go against the odds and try something else first?
