Just got 271 C00/Intermittent - Rail Pressure Regulating Valve. adaptation too high.

From what I am reading it looks like potentially NOx sensor. Anyone have different insight?

I have also read that many people got letters extending their warranty for NOx sensors to 10/120 but when I check http://bmw-rp.com/production/bmw/reimbursement_bmw_portal.nsf/submit.xsp its only showing the fuel pump as an option for my car. Do I have any shot at getting this covered on mine?

Thanks in advance!

Question is impossible to answer correctly without year and model as coverage depends on build date and model. So, waddaya have? If it’s not coming up then it’s not covered. Yet. Or your car has salvage / rebuilt title. Fairly sure that’s an exclusion. Oh, and where do you live. US only deal, Canada no go IIRC.

Duh, sorry about that miss. 2014 328d. US spec. Not salvaged or rebuilt. Doing some digging and it looks like it might be fuel pressure not NOx related. Really struggling to find more information about bmw specific codes on the web.

Thanks for model and location info. I’m sure based on that someone will confirm nox sensor warranty, I can’t recall if it’s been extended for the 328d...
As far as codes / tech info, you familiar with newtis? https://www.newtis.info/

Rail pressure and Nox sensors are not going to be related.
