Also, where is the best place (cheapest) to buy these?

Don't.

Get ATE Premium One rotors and Akebano EuroAct ceramic pads. Tirerack as well as several of the sponsors of this board.

Never EVER! EVER! and i mean EVER. go "Cheap" on rotors and pads, unless you feel like getting in an accident. These are some critical things to have and not be shy to save money on (to a reasonable amount)

Depends on what you mean by "cheap". Always use quality brake components. But you can always do a price comparison (I do 'em all the time).

Prices fluctuate tremendously- and, for the same item - so that's proof enough that price alone is not a determining factor for quality.

In fact, only a fool buys by price alone (you never "get what you pay for" - you get what others, many of whom aren't as smart as you are, will pay for it); but if you do your research, once you find the parts of the quality you need (e.g., I went Brembo on my rotors), then please do shop for the best price/service - and guess what - the fluctuations will be enormous.

I found Zeckhausen extremely fun and knowledgeable to talk to ... but not the best price for the same items. Now, they're so great at that shop that many (including me) would consider paying more just to go with them ... but that's up to the individual.

I`ve found Balo to be very good quality (they own the steel foundry, and make the rotors complete from raw materials to finished product). Available at most suppliers, I use www.bimmerparts.com .
