Deal directly with Manny to do so :dunno:
He prolly means tomorrow as in when he actually goes to work? He's semi retired you know. ;)

There was a long discussion on the .org Z4 forum about price, how a FULLY OPTIONED out Z4 can approach $50K...I guess we put that to rest now didn't we? It looks like a fully optioned out Z4 will come in at around $45K?

What do you suppose Fred means when he says
"full pricing available tomorrow"??
:dunno:

:lmao:
So which Z4 would you get??

OK. Kewl.

So here's my question to the board. Suppose you "needed" a Z4 as soon as possible. You were going to lease it and wanted to spend as little as possible to get one, but with "minimal" (which is different than "zero") options. You did not intend to drive it really... you were more interested in using it for product development.

What would you get??

I (we) are thinking:

  • 2.5i
  • Jet Black (no metallic paint charge, leased so who cares about swirls)
  • Black top
  • Heated seats (all roadsters need these in our experience)
  • Cutter Motors Delivery

Black or silver with black interior are ideal because they will show off eye-catching leather colors best (ie: Kyalami or Evergreen trim). We know from HC that the roll hoops on The 4 are now welded and part of the frame of the car. No bolts. The covers are plastic and 2 halves. This means easy (inexpensive) leather hoop covers and integrated windcreens will be possible.

I am undecided on leather versus vinylette versus cloth-leather. It appears you need to get prem pkg in order to get full leather. Prem pkg is definitely out.

All of the trim can be covered in leather like the Dan Wu Wife E46 car. Kool.

One nice deal on The 4 is that the Z3 had base seats and sport seats. It appears all of The 4's seats are sport. Just power or non-power and one additional adjustment... But I could be wrong here. Order guides and brochures can be misleading. This means that potentially I wouldn't necessarily even bother with sport package.

No cruise. No OBC. No power top. No Carver Technology money pit.
"No Carver Technology money pit"

How could you dis' someone else who is based in Snohomish? It's not a big town, ya know... and, at least for the old Z3 series, it was a big improvement over the HK system.

Best of luck on getting one of the first ones.... we all want to see those new product ideas.
Yikes. Is Carver up here?? I retract any and all statements against Bob and his company.

Err. I need to get my resume together.

Ya, sure, you betcha.... see contact info at http://www.sunfire.com/contact/index.html

I talked to one of their engineers when I had some questions on the Sunfire subwoofer add-on for the Z3's.
Yep- Bob lives next door to a fella I work with. Bob's active in an "Old Homes" group in Snohomish working on preserving the Victorian homes in the middle of town (Bob lives in one of these old houses as does my friend)
You think we have fun with our cars? You oughta try living in a 100 year old house...: bigpimp:

Over this past weekend, our **new** Cutter Motors website
was launched, and moved to a new server.

One problem: they didn't transfer any of my personal files....

Major aggravation!!!!
:banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead:

Hopefully, our former IP will let us back in to FTP my stuff over...

What a pain!
:(

Anyway, check out http://www.cuttermotors.com

Now I know why I stay away from .org. Too many trolls. Some [email protected] says he works for BMWNA and that pricing hasn't even been released yet. Yeah, I guess the info that's been shared doesn't exist? ;) I must have been seeing things. :lmao: What a loser.:thumbdwn:
Well....

I've got the website working again;
all links in the news section are once again active...

:)
What a hillarious thread over there...

:lmao:

Jon, way to show him! :lmao:  :lmao:
I don't really want to show anybody up Sean...

I just thought the accusations that it was contrived were
a bit odd...
