That is probably the only interesting picture that I saw in the whole set, I like it...

Are you on line in that picture?

I am not sure... We exit and enter that gate twice and from different sides each time. I am not sure which way I was suppose to be going when the photo was taken.

Hey, here's me at the same gate-

You have more of an angle than me:p

You are on your second time through (can tell by the angle), do you think I am on my 2nd too? If I am, I wonder if I took that turn before the gate a lot wider than you?

No, I bet that's your first time through. I think that's the right line for the first time through that gate. Since it was a double gate coming off of a sweeping left-hander going into a sweeping right hander, you wanted to take the first gate (the one you are approaching) fairly close to the left cone (from the perspectice of the driver) in order to set up the arc for the right hand loop that follows.

Too bad there is not a video! It really has me wondering.

If someone would post a course map (come on Tom!:p ), it would make a very interesting discussing where the "right line" is.

There were many 90 degree turns between gates, who knows how tight one should go?

Actually in my opinion, this is one of the easiest to navigate I have seen in a long time. It had a certain symmetry that helped me remember where the course was.

The photos we have been discussing were taken at the double gate area towards the right side of the page.

The CCA people drew the map by hand. :)

I thought it was quite simple, myself. Although judging by the number of people who couldn't find all the gates...

You will see that our total cone count is very small. We only have to get through the gates. We can take any route we want to accomplish that.

This course WAS truly much simpler to navigate than past courses. And receiving a hand drawn course map is normal. We all then walk the course repeatedly with our maps in hand.

Personally, I prefer this type of course (with fewer cones) to one that would be marked off with more cones.

I could figure it out, but that must be a very small lot :D

I'm exited about this Sunday's auto-x. The course will be nice, a short circut owned by the Houston Police :D

Why not just draw one map and make copies? :dunno:

If that was the case, you would come up on a turn with two arrows pointing in different directions :dunno:

I have seen the track/cone line marked with chalk :)
