I'm new to this forum. I have a 2003 745Li. I recently had an oil change. When I picked up the car the service shop has set the oil change interval to 5000 miles. The next day the interval was down to 800 miles. We were on a long Holiday drive. After about 3000 miles the change interval was down to 100 plus miles. Fuel milage during the trip was good. Is repairing the change interval a major job? And, would it best be done by a dealer service shop? I appreciate any input you would be willing to give me.
