Oil leak underneath car covered in oil
Hello everyone my car has been leaking oil for a month now some bmw worker told me it was the housing gasket but I don’t think he inspected the car right I went under it and it was very philthy can the oil pan gasket cause the car from underneath to be covered in oil?

Yes. The oil filter housing and the oil pan are two different things; which gasket did the tech say is leaking? Either can make a complete mess of the undercarriage, if neglected long enough.
He told me the housing oil gasket.Can that cause all this mess underneath?
I already answered, "yes...."
