So how hard is it to get in the back of the motor and change the oil/water seperator. I am pulling the valve cover gaskets so I figured I'd change the oil seperator. Still debating if I should do the valley gaskets. Someone talk me into it, lol Car has 140K on it.

Has anyone had trouble getting back there? How long did it take? I'm expecting at least a few hours.

I've found a few 740i guys that have done it but those bastards have more room.

It's WAY easier if you remove the whole intake. It's also a good idea to do the intake gaskets then too. I did mine back in Feb. Not that bad of a job, just a little time consuming if it's your first time digging into your engine. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if needed. The results were well worth it as I was getting a major cloud of smoke upon start-up. I bought the deluxe kit from OEM Bimmer Parts.com which came with all the suggested replacement parts. Good luck on yours.
