do i HAVE to apply z1 between each and every coat of z2, z5, etc.... okay and if i get zfx do i even need z1 at all... this will be my first zaino application

zainos site says used diluted z7 as lube for the clay. is this preferred method or should i use z6 as the lube

also zaino says, "Apply no more than three coats of Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™ in a 24 hour period"

does this mean z2 or z5? thanks for all the help

Z1 is only once every few months. If you use Z-FX, you don't need Z1 at all, but you need to use Z-FX each time.

Use Z7. Z6 dries too quickly.

Means no more than 3 layers of any combination of Z2 or Z5 treated with Z-FX.

Believe me, you won't want to do 3 layers very often unless you're a real masochist. :D

Yep, Z6 between the layers.

Your arms will be very large and strong if you keep up the 3 layer routine. :D Z5 does a great job with swirls, esp. if you do a lot of layers at once. :thumb:

so i guess day 1 will be 3 layers of z5 and the next day 2layers of z2, i'm going to be tired
Damn, and I thought swirl marks were giving me a hard time...

Seriously though, I honestly don't think you'll need 3 layers of Z5 to get rid of them... :thumb:

ha, i hope not, i just am not sure how much i'll need as never having used zaino.. hopefully i can just use 1 layer and then 2 of z2
If you're getting ZFX, you'll get 4 2OZ bottles with it. One 2OZ bottle should be more than enough to lay down one layer of Z5/Z2. Otherwise, you're using too much.

How does the ZFX work, do you have to mix it with z5? someone told me once you mix it you must use it within a few hours time. Seems like you would end up wasting a lot unless you could accurately estimate how much z5 you would require and pour it into another container to mix with the zfx.

Anyone know the proper procedure?

You mix what you'll use... 12 hours after it's mixed it's useless.

They give you your own mini drug lab...

Each bottle is 2 oz. You can cover the entire car with half a bottle. You won't waste any. If you have any excess, put it on a towel and do your wheels... it'll keep the brake dust from sticking.
