Both those articles are pretty good. However neither is new enough to mention that last weekend CART announced that instead of the previously rumored switch to a IRL-like 3.5l NA engine formula, and the ramblings of Honda's return to the series and talks of Judd/MG entering CART (without a US-marketed nameplate no less), are untrue, at least for 2 more seasons.
CART will more or less keep the existing 2.62l turbo spec, but will use a 'spec' engine; i.e. be sourced from 1 manufacturer, namely Ford/Cosworth designed to last longer and therefore be cheaper to operate.
