the one i have in now [the older one] is supposed to still be compatible with the 6-disc cd changer in the trunk but it isn*t? i*ve pushed every single button on my dash&cannot gain access to the cd player at all. does it have to be on a certain station or something? or maybe it*s wired wrong? please help i am just a girl trying to listen to some music!

your first picture no worky.

However,

If you are using the older style radio, it WILL NOT control the later changer.

Your best solution is to sell both peices seperately and buy yourself a very nice aftermarket head unit.

If you buy that awful c33, c43 or cd43 unit to make the stock changer work, you did yourself a disservice. Those radios (#2 pictured) are horrible units.

ok i fixed the first picture.

haha i was actually semi-looking for a c33 too!!! but i was also semi-looking for an aftermarket unit. i was looking on circuitcity.com cus they install it for you if you buy one of their radios&it said only this cd changer thing was compatible! are all the radios compatible, they just need extra wiring or something? can someone who installs a radio in a honda or acura install it in the bmw also?

Don't let them sell you anything but a wiring harness and antenna adapter.

If they want to istall a pac oem 2 or rewire the car, they are ripping you off
