On the 9th day of Christmas my e39 got it's mojo back thanks to new O2/MAF Sensors!

I don't mean to resurrect an old thread but I don't think my question merits a new thread.

I have a 2003 540i, I tried locating the front O2 sensor connect boxes but I did not see it. Is it covered by the chassis/floor pan covers under the seats?

9/28/13 Update:

I put the front end on ramps and the front Oxygen sensor connectors are not covered. They're held on by a tension ring. I tried for 1 hour to disconnect 1 sensor and it was on too tight, I gave up. Clearance and leverage were the reason, there simply is not enough room, I have small hands by the way. You would need a lift to do this.

I called a local shop and they quoted 1/2 hour for both sides which is $50. Not bad. Needless to say I'll be paying to have this done.

Just wanted to let other 540i owners know how much a PITA this is without a lift.
