Do you think muffler deletes are too loud, or do they sound good and are just right?

I was originally looking at performance mufflers just to add a sporty sound and I was told the same thing and save that for civics, muffler deletes are for BMW blah blah

They make good exhausts for BMWs that have a nice growl without being obnoxious.

If you want save money that's the way to go. My buddy has a 325 and did this little mod. It actually sounds pretty darn clean. It's not loud nor obnoxious. You can even hear your filter suck in the air if thats what your into.

Muffler deletes are generally disdained even over in E90Post.

Aside from the raspy sound, the drone at lower RPMs will make you want to uch: after a short while.
