Hey Guys,
I have a check engine light I'm hoping you can help me with. I have a generic code reader and it gave me this code - P2621 Throttle position , output signal - circuit low. I can reset it, it's fine for a few minutes, once I shut the car off and start it back up, the light comes back.
This may be a coincidence but worth mentioning. The first time I saw it was when I stopped to get diesel at a truck stop, the pump nozzle was too big, so I drove around to a regular diesel pump (I think I put the cap back on but may not have) and filled up. After filling up and driving off for good, I saw the light.
I was about 400 miles from home when it first happened, I drove home without an issue except for the light.
What do you think? Could it have been something with the cap not being on right? But why wouldn't the light stay off once I erase the code? Maybe because it's just a generic code reader? Or maybe it was a coincidence and I have something wrong with the throttle position?
