Hello to all,

I am a new member and I recently purchased a 2017 white BMW 650 GC with black interior and it is truly an amazing and beautiful car.

Has anyone painted (or wrapped) the roof of their GC jet (gloss) black? Does "wrapping" come in a gloss black? And if so, would you have a picture of what it looks like?

Thank you very much.

Wrapped gloss black myself. Relatively easy. You can get virtually any color or even fake carbon fiber. Gloss Black is the best compliment to white IMO. I even removed the metal strips along the sides of the roof myself and wrapped those. DO NOT REPAINT. Not only is that costly, you're just asking for problems.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.

I would consider using a vinyl wrap. A few things I am concerned about:

- How long would a wrap last?
- Does it look like a wrap or can it pass as a paint?
- Does it chip, scratch or dull easily?
- Which type of vinyl is the best one to use?

Thanks

Wraps can last a few years, especially if taken care of. Of course it can scratch, chip, etc, but so can paint. The difference is, you can rewrap it. It's dirt cheap compared to painting...a no brainer if you're just doing the roof.
