Can anybody help with a step by step guide video to installing a e61 525d panaramic sunroof I have searched all over and theres no videos out there thankyou

i have some issues with one of the sunshades on my panoramic sunroof and spent quite a bit of time looking for detailed information on the roof mechanisms and components. I couldnt really find anything detailed enough to be helpful. I have not looked in the bentley manual however.

i believe the X3 and X5 might have had the same panoramic roof so any info you find on those should be the same/similar to your E61

i assume you are trying to replace your unit with a new one?

Yes thanks matey was just hopping it would be a undo the bolts job drop the sunroof down and refit the other one

in essence, that is all you have to do but it not that easy in reality.

if i'm not mistaken, the sunroof bolts to the body from the underside. therefore, you must remove the entirely of the headliner to take out the old sunroof "cassette" and install the new one.
