The conversion is 1Kw=1.34hp. So 410Kw = 549.4hp.

I think the slope of the power curve would be pretty telling (I didn't see the dyno sheets). However it is my opinion that the 1/4 mile time, which is very impressive, carries much more weight than the dyno printout. Things can look good on paper, but reality is the true test. ;)

The pics on that website load soo slow, it makes me pity the poor guy in Russia flippin' the switches on his Altaire server. I know he must be trying hard to get the data across, but I think he needs a new setup to handle the load! :lmao:

LOL, yeah, It's gotta be tough to type all those 1's and 0's when you have so many people hitting your site at once!

OK, I'm still waiting

for the pictures to download!!!

As far as the power - 550 hp is definitely believeable out of this motor assuming its Vortech or some other centrifugal blower (pictures still haven't downloaded that far). He's starting with almost 400 to begin with on a 5.0L motor. Some Mustangs (5.0L) with motor work and a blower are putting out that kind of hp (thats with monster intake, huge cam, highly ported and polished aftermarket heads, etc.). I'm sure the M5 motor flows better than even a worked Mustang 5.0L.

Though I haven't seen the website, the 10 second quarter mile is doubtful unless he used slicks (I'd also like to see the trap speed). On street tires, no way! And, if he did use slicks, that's not something you can do more than a couple times without blowing up the rear end or tranny (unless those are equally as worked as the motor).

Bet you NONE of these guys who supercharge their cars take it out on the track...No offense JIMMY.

They'd get their *sses embarrased by tiny 6 bangers putting out a measely 200HP.

And if you don't take your car out to the track, what do you need 500 hp for on city streets?

nope, never had the time to take it to the track. Definitely would get spanked, but since I dont track my car, it doesnt bother me.

then again, the majority of people increase their power and suspension, but never see the track
