I actually think the sports-wagon looks pretty good! But I don't think there's going to be one, right?
As a matter of fact, when I saw the CS1 in person at the NY auto show last weekend, the front end looked mighty good!! I don't mind at all if the new 1 sports the same aggressive front-end as the CS1. Love the front bulging fenders too. The back looked as bad as the pics.
All in all, putting a roof on the car (in various forms) definitely is an improvement in terms of looks IMO. Improves the back end too.
