Please give me peace of mind
I drive a 2000 540i.... What causes my car to die while I'm driving it, but don't have problem re-starting it? The car drives smoothly and nothing showing on OBD. The car just dies without warning, sometimes it just goes on by itself? It does not happen frequently but it does happen, and I'm not having peace of mind.

Cam sensor can be an issue, try unplug it and drive it for a few days to test it.

Could also be crank position sensor.
Clean your ICV valve.
