I'm looking at getting a 1994 325i or 325is. Milage will be above 150,000 on the car mostlikely. What problems will I be seeing, or should deff check out that previous owner has taken care of?

Ive already been informed of faulty electrical.

Problems

It all is dependent upon the previous owner and what he or she did.
Typical for this car is replacement of struts, shocks, brakes around 70K so the car should be on its 3rd set or those.
Clutch is the car is a manual should be about shot at around 120K so expect that it is replaced too.
Water pump, t-stat, t-stat housing, radiator are items that go at around 70-90K so the car should have a replaced water pump and radiator too.
Muffler is dependent upon where you live but 100K is a good number for that too so again it should not be original.
Fuel pump and filter usually are shot and replaced before that mileage
Control arm bushings, ties rods are toast anywhere from 50K to 80K so again they should be replaced and not far from needing it again.
Drivers seat will be well worn and most all the mechanicals should still be working.
Cars are not hard to work on so if the car has some issues that are mechanical and you have some skills then buy a Bentley manual and have at it.

Condition really is the key based on the previous owners care. Engine is good for 250K trans good for that too except an auto which is usually toast around 100-120K.

There are several threads on this very topic in the E36 forum.

A car that old is likely to suffer from any number of issues.

A documented service record and a inspection will go a long way toward saving you time and $$ tracking down problems...but that car is likely to cost you more initially.
