Just wondering if the lighting package is standard on a 2014 w/ sports package or not. Been looking at YouTube & want to try the lci radio trim with the led light upgrade but not sure if I have the package or not. Currently deployed or else I would answer my own question. Or if anybody has done it already chime in

i have 328 2013 sport line and was able to do the swap. To make sure, put your hand under the dash where the cupholders are with headlights on and ambient lighting on. If you see orange/white reflection then "yes", you can do the "upgrade". You need a Y cable and the illuminated trim piece-oem or aftermarket.
FYI, the OEM will not fit perfectly-the cut out for the 8 memory buttons is diffrent than for the pre LCI memory buttons. Depends on your level of OCD<img src="http://s1.bimmerfest.com/forums/images/smilies/smile3453453.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smilie" class="inlineimg" /> you might not notice or drive yourself nuts.
I wish I knew that before I have done the swap. Also condider your level of patience with very fragile plastic parts-the swap is not hard but VERY annoying.

I don***8217;t even use the presets so I don***8217;t really care but not having them near would make me go crazy. I wish I was home to verify weather I have the light by my cup holder I wanna say I do but I honestly never paid attention. Can you tell a big difference?

I like how the trim looks to begin with-it is gloss black matching the rest of the trim in the car-original radio trim was matte black. Illuminated it looks even better. Also the oem trim piece switches with the rest of your ambient lighting from "classic" orange to "sport" white.
The "gap" is visible only under certain light conditions and if you are not "detail oriented" like me you would never notice it.
I also did the add ons for the door cards so now my ambient lighting is actually visible and matching everywhere. Overall, I like the way the trim, dash and door card light guides work together.
Maybe I should have replaced the door Led modules as well with the newer brighter version too. Will see, if I get bored again...<img src="http://s1.bimmerfest.com/forums/images/smilies/smile3453453.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smilie" class="inlineimg" />
