I love this site, I just found it searching on net for some help,
I have a 1999 323i E46 with 54007 miles on it and today the right blinker indicator started blinking while I was driving, I check all the lights and they are okay, if I turn it to the left it will stop blinking the right indicator and working the left one, but when it returns to the center the right one starts blinking any suggestions, I live 165 miles from the nearest dealer and I know a little about mechanics I would apprecation any help.
Thanks David

my turn signals were acting up as well, blinking when they weren't supposed to and also blinking at a funny quicker rate. what i found was that the bulbs had clearly not been changed in a while. and there was corrosion on the bulbs contact area. i tried to clean them and it seemed a bit better but not completely fixed...i ended up replacing all four corners and haven't had a problem since...i would check the bulbs and fuse first to see if they are the issue. if not then it could be an issue with the switch/lever itself or the wiring....that's as much as i can offer, but would be interested in finding out how it turns out...good luck!
Thanks for the advice, I had done a search and found this out, I replaced all the bulbs with new one, I did not find any corrosion, all look good, we do not have much rain here, anyway the right side blinker stays on all the time unless I turn the left on, it is kind of iritating to drive with that clicking going all the time, not to mention that people give me all sorts of sign language for driving with my turn signal on and not turning.
I check for shorts today and no luck. any other suggestions?
Thanks David
