Has anyone heard of a problem with the 128i where every once in a while when you turn the stereo on you hardly get any power (whether it's on the radio or the CD player), and all you get is a crackling sound that almost sounds like a speaker wiring/ground issue? I don't understand it. Then all of the sudden next time I get in the car, everything works fine. Every time I go to maintenance/service, they say "cannot duplicate error" blah blah blah. It's very frustrating and embarrassing when I get in the car and my entire system sounds like an AM radio in the 1930s.
If anyone's heard of a situation like this and knows of something I can check/fix, please let me know.

I have a similar problem, when every i turn up the sound system in my 135 it starts crackling and popping during bass heavy parts.. i think it might be just a low end sound system. Only thing i dislike about my 1er =/.
