Hi i'm new to coding and fw updates. Is it safe to code and or do FW updates to BMW's. I need to look at some errors on my BMW CIC F10 cic and thinking i will have to look at FW update or coding but need to know which one of the two i will need to do.

ISTA/P is for Programming E-Series only. I don't think you want it, if you are also using E-Sys, which is not for E-Series.

I just purchased BimmerUtility and am looking for the correct psdzdata to go with it. I believe BU uses ESYS 3.38.2. Do I just need the latest psdzdata or do I need to pull an I-step to find the correct version I need? It's on a 2018 F36.

 

Just use latest and you can't go wrong.
