Well, it brings me back to square 1, I have TMPS malfunction on 2011 F10. All tire sensors checked out to be fine by dealer and I replaced the RDC (part 1 as attached) bought brand new from BMW dealer. If no coding(CAFD) or no flashing(TAL) is needed, how do I make the car register new RDC module which I replaced?
No idea. I never had this issue.

Now If I try to connect to car, its not showing connect VIA VIN as says NO ZGW available?

I didn't code or flash, I stopped at step 15, and clicked disconnect.

What happened here, did I mess up anything?
Is motor running? Sometimes Gateway gets jammed up, and car needs to go to sleep for an hour before you can reconnect.

You can also Force flash RDC to see if it solves issue.

No, motor is not running. I went to reconnect to check on the error the car is showing using external connector on e-sys and if I get clear the code.

How to perform force flash of RDC if clearing error code doesn't help?

Unless you are flashing, or car is on a charger, motor needs to be running.

For Force flash RDC, in svt_ist, set Main, Sub, and Patch versions to 000 for the BTLD, and SWFL entries (Do NOT Change HWEL.), e.g.:

id 00000792
mainVersion 000
subVersion 000
patchVersion 000

This thread is only for PSdZdata Full, and has veered far from that.

Sdp vs psdz

Hey guys, I'm running out of disk space here. At one point I downloaded a complete package including SDP 4.13.11.

Now I've recently been given a link via PM for v.4.18.33_PSdZData_Full.rar. Is SDP the same as PSdZ ? Can I erase the old psdz folder created from extracting SDP files into the Rheingold folder and replace with the new PSdZ data ?

My purpose is to have an all around capable laptop. ISTA+, ISTA/P, and E-Sys (including for updating modules).

Do I need the psdz data in both "C:/data" for E-sys and inside of Rheingold folder as duplicates? Can I just link E-sys to look for the data files inside the rheingold folder? Should I do the file linking with that one program that more or less creates a virtual shortcut to whereever the psdz data is stored so both programs can access it?

Does ISTA/P also look for PSdZ data location in order to work properly?

Sorry I know that is a lot of questions, but I know that my level of confusion can be sorted out with a few sentences.

Thank you in advance!

You want to share the Full psdzdata from ISTA+ to Esys using a Symbolic Link as follows:

1) Delete PSdZData Subfolder from C:\Data Folder (i.e. c:\Data\psdzdata\)
2) Run CMD as administrator
3) Write - mklink /j "c:\Data\psdzdata\" "C:\Program Files (x86)\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi\psdzdata\" <---(put your own directories)

ISTA/P doesn't use PSdZData. It is for E-Series Programming only, so it uses SP-Daten instead.

Thank you. The question remains if I must delete the files within ISTA+ that came from a SDP archive extract and replace them with the most recent psdz data set I was sent via PM. Or is the SDP stuff separate files from the psdz files?

I currently have 145 GB of data inside c:\bmw\rheingold\PSdZ\SWE ?

Also, i was convince i've upgraded all my f30 ecus in the past using ISTA-P or ISTA+ with just a Ethernet cable.

It's other way around. You can rip the PSdZData from ISTA+ SDP for use with E-Sys, but you cant take PSdZData Full and use it to update ISTA+. To update ISTA+, you need need new complete ISTA+ package as old ISTA+ application files won't likely support the newer PSdZData version.

Before ISTA+, ISTA-D was for Diagnosis of all cars, and ISTA/P was for Programming all cars. Now with ISTA+, it is Diagnosis for all Cars and Programming of only newer F / I / G Series cars and ISTA/P is for Programming only E-Series cars.

And you can do Diagnosis with ISTA+ and an ENET cable for F / I / G Series or K+DCAN Cable for E-Series, but Programming requires an ICOM Interface.

Shawn,

I changed the RDC BTLD,SWFL values as you mentioned in xml file (attached).
At step 15, I do see the RDC values (pic attached).
On checking software, it says all software available, but on clicking START I get an error as attached.

I did the process 3 times and followed each step as mention.

Any idea?

Also, I cleared the codes using Esys and I got the message RESETTING TPM, drove 4-5 miles but back to TPMS malfunction.
