Hello,

I have version 57.3

Is there a newer version?

What is the newer version?

What does it give over the older version?

Most important, is it needed for a 2016 M3?

Your software is not the issue here. Do as I wrote. Fix all corrupt CAFD, (cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255):

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read (ECU) => Left-Click on desired ECU => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom one) => Select OK => Right-Click on ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

All other CAFD just VO Code:

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) =>Read (ECU) => Right-Click on ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.
Hi Shawn,
Thank you for the help. I have managed to restore nearly all ecu's but I am still getting airbag, restraint faults as well as a transmission fault. Just to confirm, when the ecu's are read, should they be in Blue or black? I had to use an earlier I-level for the ACSM Ecu to find the CAFD to to get a green tick.

When you Read (ECU), the whole ECU Tree is Blue (actual State).

You need to lock ACSM. Best option is to use ISTA:

Vehicle Management -> Service functions -> Chassis and suspension -> Safety functions -> Lock air bag -> Lock airbag -> ABL Enable airbag activation after programming operation

And then clear all fault codes.
