Shaw, Hi. I'm a mechanic that wants to learn basics of coding. I'm new to this. From what I've read, I bought an ENET cable, a fresh laptop, installed Esys 3.30 with accompanying softwares/launchers. Now I need to remove PPS system from my f10 2010. Psdzdata lite enough to do it, correct? If so, which data version do I need to work with my car and Esys 3.30 version, and where would I get that? Searched the internet all day and couldn't find any links that haven't expired. Thank you in advance for any help.

 

I do not know what PPS System is, but I assume you are removing via Coding, in which case PSdZData LIte is fine. Use latest. PM sent.

E-Sys => Options => Settings => Options and Uncheck Box for "Check software availability before TAL execution". Then flash.

Did you try just initializing Flexray in ISTA?

 

I can not connect to ISTA any longer... I did try with protools. it would not initalize.. I have tried to connect using ip 192.168.0.1 and DHCP Server, get to ZGW or any EUs...

I have no idea what is going on there.

 

Changed put the BDC for new, was able tu use esys and get most modules on line by doing a complete TAL. Some modules did not program on the Flexray circuit. Was able with Protool to initialize flexray... Still unable to connect ISTA>>> either enet or icom clone... Snapon connects, protool connects, esys Connects, beginning something has crashed in my ISTA install.

Will net try Esys again to see if I can get the remaining modules online...

Any other suggestions???

Open Windows Explorer, find EDIABS.ini file in the ISTA EDIABAS folder, and open it in Notepad, and change the Interface = line as follows:

"INTERFACE =ENET"

ISTA has its own EDIABAS folder that it uses, so it does not use EDIABAS from BMW Standard Tools installed to c:\EDIABAS.

Then set ISTA to use EDIABAS Connection.

 

Hello, ISTA NOW WORKING. long list of errors... Hopefully most of them are from Flexray not being initialized...

 

It's a mess. Good luck with it.

 

Everything that is not communication is on the Pt-CAn bus.... ..We have had recently all those modules working, and have exchange 3 of them beginning with Crash module and fuel pump control and the PCU... nothing changed.. Esys does not see the 7 modules so I cannot program them from there.... it is a mess as you said....

I have noticed there is no CAFD for the BDC, I have been unable to inject one...I get a PSdZ Error, "Failed to get SWE "swf_00002419-085_010_130". (C111)

KIS error: Die techninsche Einheil 000021419 konnte in der KIS-Wissenbasis nicht gefunden werden (1283)
