Hello,

I have version 57.3

Is there a newer version?

What is the newer version?

What does it give over the older version?

Most important, is it needed for a 2016 M3?

PM sent. This is not for E-Series (2009 335d). You need different cable and different software for E-Series.

Hi,
I'm in trouble with my newly acquired 2018 BMW 540i (Luxury Edition) - I used Carly to program some features and during coding progress I somehow corrupted BSD module (Carly shows BCD-W greyed out).
Now I received the appropriate hardware (100 Amp power supply for ECU flashing, ENET cable) and PC software tools (E-Sys, ISTA).
The remaining outstanding items I need is the PSdZData files (Full) so that I can ultimately re-flash my bricked ECU(s).
Could someone provide me a link or e-mail me a correct set of PSdZData Full package for my vehicle, please?

Thank you in advance,
-Alex.

BDC-W is Gateway Module. It is not a codeable ECU. That is normal.

But it was not greyed out before I clicked 'Code'.
Using Carly, I actually made changes in this BDC-W module, like enable Left light 1/2 voltage monitor.
While coding active at around 43% finished the car seemed to power cycle(?) (I didn't have auxiliary power supply, It was running). After that, all sorts of issues popped up: TPMS, Drivetrain, trunk, etc.) Car can only go 40 miles an hour.
A technician (using his tools) at a service said that I corrupted memory of the ECU after some kind of scanning.
I'm getting this car delivered to my house on following Monday and gearing up to fix it.

You made changes in BDC-M, not BDC-W.

And issues you describe now indicate DME / DDE is messed up.

It may just need coding. Need to check and see if DME / DDE has CAFD or if its misisng, and if it has CAFD, it is not named cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255.

Oh, man, you gave me hope! I haven't slept normally for the whole week now because of this issue since screwing this up last Saturday! I hope you are right on the diagnosis. 🤞
I've gotten now all the necessary components to perform the autopsy and revival bit the PSdzdata files. Where can I get those? Can you help?
PM sent.

Why would it be in older version as BMW AG seldom removes CAFD's from new ISTA versions?

What car is this for? What is name of ECU and missing CAFD?

#10,812 ·
This is for a 2012 320i f30. Everything works until trying to read coding data from FEMBODY. At that moment, I get an error "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

I tried troubleshooting but "Detect CAF for SWE" remains greyed out.
I-step: F020-12-03-503
cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255 is not a real CAFD. It is universal name given to a corrupt CAFD File. So you need to Inject CAFD and VO Code FEM_BODY.

"Detect CAF for SWE" should not be greyed out. What E-Sys version are you using?

Shawn,

Again thanks for the previous help. Much appreciated.

I managed to find and apply F20-16-03-504 from the previous update i did last year which was F20 15-03-500.

I have downloaded the one you suggested psdzdata 4.54.31.

Was wondering if any one has psdzdata from 2017 or 2018 or 2019 as well.

Just wanted to apply them incrementally to see the changes. Or is that just a waste of a time as I already have bm3 waiting?

Regards.

Hi Shawn. When you have time I'd like an ISTA link, please. I lost the last ISTA when my computer went boom. Thanks! Oh, I'll be working on a 2015 535i, F10.
