Hi, with the help of the links provided by Shawnsheridan, I successfully installed Esys 3.27 with launcher and I managed toclear some error codes i Had due to the installation of a dash camera

i also savedmy original CAFs

But when it came to FDL coding I could not do it because I was not able to read the description of the different items, all of them sid they were trimmed

I tried HU_MGU and the BDC_BODY3 ECUs, without success
I wanted code video in motion and some of the Eco/Sport modes

What am I doing wrong

i guess this belongs to different thread. but first... we need to know what kind of car are you talking. Then you should know, that some old launchers, doesnt support some CAFD files from new cars, and stayed trimmed.

 

sorry., I forgot to say it's a new BMW X5 (G05) 4.0 i, so I assume that is the problem.

I have 2011 F10 and had to replace RDC module. Now I need to flash the RDC module and while doing so using esys 3.27 I get the error that 'No CAFD-MAPPING for base variant RDC found' when I click on 'detect CAF' for RDC. Please find the image attached.

What exactly do I need to do ? This seems to be more than updating the PSDZ data file.

RDC Module, like ZGW, has no CAFD. It is not a codeable ECU. It can only be flashed.

Why are you wanting to flash it?

There is a error in the 'TMPS Malfunction'. How can it be flashed in order to remove this error from CIC.

Now If I try to connect to car, its not showing connect VIA VIN as says NO ZGW available?

I didn't code or flash, I stopped at step 15, and clicked disconnect.

What happened here, did I mess up anything?

Is motor running? Sometimes Gateway gets jammed up, and car needs to go to sleep for an hour before you can reconnect.

You can also Force flash RDC to see if it solves issue.

No, motor is not running. I went to reconnect to check on the error the car is showing using external connector on e-sys and if I get clear the code.

How to perform force flash of RDC if clearing error code doesn't help?

Sdp vs psdz

Hey guys, I'm running out of disk space here. At one point I downloaded a complete package including SDP 4.13.11.

Now I've recently been given a link via PM for v.4.18.33_PSdZData_Full.rar. Is SDP the same as PSdZ ? Can I erase the old psdz folder created from extracting SDP files into the Rheingold folder and replace with the new PSdZ data ?

My purpose is to have an all around capable laptop. ISTA+, ISTA/P, and E-Sys (including for updating modules).

Do I need the psdz data in both "C:/data" for E-sys and inside of Rheingold folder as duplicates? Can I just link E-sys to look for the data files inside the rheingold folder? Should I do the file linking with that one program that more or less creates a virtual shortcut to whereever the psdz data is stored so both programs can access it?

Does ISTA/P also look for PSdZ data location in order to work properly?

Sorry I know that is a lot of questions, but I know that my level of confusion can be sorted out with a few sentences.

You want to share the Full psdzdata from ISTA+ to Esys using a Symbolic Link as follows:

1) Delete PSdZData Subfolder from C:\Data Folder (i.e. c:\Data\psdzdata\)
2) Run CMD as administrator
3) Write - mklink /j "c:\Data\psdzdata\" "C:\Program Files (x86)\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\PSdZ\data_swi\psdzdata\" <---(put your own directories)

ISTA/P doesn't use PSdZData. It is for E-Series Programming only, so it uses SP-Daten instead.

Again, pardon my ignorance, but, as I said, have been off the forum for a bit. What do you mean by "Update Launcher PRO 3.x to the latest via the Launcher App". I have Launcher Pro App check box for "check for Updates" checked, but it doesn't seem to do anything? Is there something else?

Latest is LauncherPROSetup_3.5.1.261. If it won't let you update to it, I have no idea why.

 

Could I get the latest PsdZData? Also, where would I go to find the latest ISTA+ files? Thanks!

Apologies in advance but a total newbie here. Have read through countless forums and pages of this and think i have my head around some of it. Ok so I got my F33 428i Convertible la couple of weeks back and wanted to try program some comfort features. I bought a cable and it came with the E-SYS software (3.27.1) i installed this and tried making some changes - i successfully managed to turn off the seat belt reminder, i did try to turn on Video from USB playback but that hasnt worked, but more importantly i wanted to be able tp fold mirrors with the key when locking and unlocking. I found the FEM_BODY and tried to read the CAFD file but it came up with the error "CAFD_00000794_017_068_102 not found"

Does anyone know a solution for this? or how i can program the mirrors?

I also wanted to ask if there was a way that i could operate putting the roof down or up just from the key? I used to hav a 330 which allowed me to do it from the key but in the 428 it doesnt seem like this is possible?
