I researched the forum and can't find the name of the hydraulic fluid to use for the trunk closer.. Some say just use ATF.. Can I use the hydraulic fluid that is used in the front hydraulics on my 750?

So I did more research on this topic. It seems like the OEM BMW trunk hydraulic fluid is actually Aeroshell fluid 4 or 41. You can buy the shell fluid for much cheaper.

Confirmed aircraft hydraulic fluid is the same. Few years ago replaced my leaking cylinder and added Rexol fluid. No leaks and has worked great. Think the quart I got online was under $20
