Questions Before Programming a 2014 320iX F30

I hope I am asking the right questions in the right place, if not, my apologies. If someone would be so kind as to direct me to where I should

Background: I have a 2014 320iX that runs fine, except for the HeadUnit which continuously reboots. I have come across several threads on how to fix it, but none seemed to work. After further research, the general consensus seems to be leaning towards updating the I LEVEL by programming with ISTA+.

Parts List: From the various threads I read here I gathered the following items
  • ISTA+ 4.39 with programming PZD or something like that also 4.39
  • Schumacher INC100 Power Supply
  • ICOMM Next
  • Router/WAP

I connected everything and just looked around. I read one thread that said that before programming the errors needed to be fixed. Another thread mentioned just clearing or deleting the fault memory. So I opted to do that. QUESTION: Is deleting the fault memory an option to resolve the errors that need to be cleared BEFORE programming? And what if there are 2 that appear right away (foglight and parking light malfunction)?

After clearing the codes I took a look at the software update tab in ISTA+

I see that the I Level would be updated to F020-22-11-510. I then took a look at the Advanced tab:

Most units needed both Programming and Encoding. I was not sure if ISTA+ required me to follow the Measures Plan:

QUESTION: The measures plan is making it look like I have to install all of these units.
  • Is this normal?
  • Do I just ignore this section?
  • Do I just click on Execute measures plan, and ISTA+ will take care of the rest?

Thanks everyone.

It’s either the modules you have installed in the car are incorrect for the car or something is wrong with the FA and/or svt.
