Nothing new here. I just thought i'd give my 2 cents.

Over the years I didn't really notice how loud my interior had gotten. Pops, squeaks, rattles, etc... It startes with a sagging headliner. I removed it and rewrapped it. Then I removed every piece of plastic that could be removed from the inside the car including the trunk. When reinstalling everything, I used weather stripping and different thicknesses of foam padding behind it all. I lined the spare well in the trunk with foam and stuffed some in the rear deck.
The biggest difference maker was the doors. I took the panels off and repaired them and replaced all of the clips. My doors now have that factory fresh solid thud sound when you close them.
The deteriation of a quite interior was so subtle I never noticed it. This is a project I recommend.
