Hi,

I've been searching all over the web to see if anyone had similar problems but with not much luck. I have a 97 E39 that had been sitting in the garage for a couple of months and it looked like the battery was drained. Got the car jump started and looks like everything got resetted. I've entered the time, date, etc. However, when I press the audio button or the volume button, there is no response. Also, there is no indication of telling me to enter a radio code. I've read somewhere in this forum that e39s don't have radio codes!? Is that correct? Also, I've read here that the radio is not working because of a burnt fuse which I checked and is not the case.

Any advice?

Thanks.

My E39 (2003 525IT) used to have a radio code written in the owner's manual. It was rather a credit-card sized... card with the code taped inside the sound system owner's manual booklet.

Do you mean unplug the fuse? The battery or the unit? thanks!
Unplug the car from 110v plug. Don't you use it? We all, e39 owners use it to charge battery
