That's something that started in the 02 MY. The "mode" button allows you to switch to whatever else you install on your car (i.e. changer).Yipper said:

Radio "mode" button
On my new 330i, the radio has a "mode" button to switch to CD. On my old '00 328Ci, the button used to say "CD".
When did this change and what might it indicate? Is there perhaps an auxiliary input of some kind?
