You could just do that. But at that point it's just two bolts holding it on and you can make sure to lube it nice. The bolts are impossible to miss from the outside an inch above and below the arm itself on the door. They go through the door and bolt into the assembly inside. On the front doors, the bolts are under the foam seal, you just pull off the seal to get to them and it pops back on the bolt heads. On the back doors they are out in the openWhy do you need to remove the part?
Can't you just open the vapor barrier and spray inside?
