Hi, took my 3series tourer to BMW Woolwich to get the front angel eyes fixed. When picking up the car, the young mechanic said you had a rear light out so I changed it as I had a spare.

Since that day in November my fog lights are always on, even when the button is not pressed in. Drives me mad, as people keep flashing me on the motorway.

Is this a fluke, faulty light bulb or a wiring issue?

Thanks in advance

First thing I would do is read the fault memory on the light control module.

Thanks, what is that? (not very mechanically wise) There is no fault showing on the dashboard and fog light does no register as being on, on the dash either?

The light control module is a computer module that controls all the lighting for your car. There’s lots of times there can be faults and no error message. You will need a bmw specific tool to pull the codes. You can google because there are tons of choices from factory to aftermarket. To buy one that suits you needs
