They're just held in with little friction clips... you can gently pry them out with a butter knife. If you want, you can pull the entire C pillar cover off, it's just as easy, just pull from the top.

I was able to get them out ok but I was trying to separate the plexiglass front from the bulb hoolding electronic piece. The front light assembly was easy as there were 2 screws holding the plexiglass/button piece on but the rear assemblies do not seem to have such a screw. I can only assume its clips of some sort but I didnt want to break it.

I was installing LED lights from superbrightleds.com but the holes that the rear bulbs fir through were too small for the LEDs to fit. Same as the front but I was able to get the plexiglass biece off the front and just insert the bulbs from that side. All in all I had to use my dremmel to open the holes up a bit so the LED lights would fit ok. It worked great. Now everything on the inside of the car is bathed in a nice 6000k light.
