While replacing rear brakes, I noticed that a shock on one side looks damaged. See pictures attached. It seems there is dirt pressed into the upper part of the rubber boot and the middle silver rod is exposed. Has anyone else seen a similar issue? Should I replace the shock? Any brand suggested?

Thanks.

Looks like the dust cover has slipped down. If you do a bounce test, what happens?
