As my intro post states, I'm looking into picking up a salvage title 6-series, somewhere around 2015-2007... I was wondering if anyone has had experience with theft cars... What usually gets broken/cut/hacked/etc.?

With salvage title auctions, usually the best finds are the recovered thefts, as they're usually not wrecked, and most of the "damage" is usually stuff like stereo components, which aren't required to put a vehicle back on the road...

Check for flood damage if they drove into a creek.

I was actually more concerned with what someone has to break in order to get the car started etc. without the remote fob (I'm assuming the 6-series at this point is push-to-start, proximity key, etc?)... Or, if there's a remote fob that car thieves use that can dupe the computer and cause little to no damage?
