? regarding Zaino process

I used Zaino's clay bar on my titanium silver 3er about 1 month after I had bought it, and honestly the results were negligible. Not a whole lot of dirt came off. Then again, I had already applied three coats of wax to it within the month prior, and that may have done a lot of what the clay bar would have, being that it was a brand new car and all. Another possibility is that the folks at Cutter BMW may have just detailed it so well prior to pickup that there wasn't anything to remove at all.

Do I regret it? Not really. It wasn't that difficult, and now I have the peace of mind for the next year or so that I don't need to do it again.

I'd still clay it. It won't hurt and will only leave the surface in even better shape... Wash with Dawn, clay, wash it again with a high quality car wash shampoo (I use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner), and then start polishing with Zaino.

I clay barred my new car last weekend and I pretty much exhausted a bar with the contaminants. The car was a Euro Delivery vehicle, so it had about 1000 miles before I cleaned it, so it wasn't "pristine" new, but I'm glad I barred it.

I got excellent results with one coat of polish on Jet Black.

One is fine

The Zaino clay product comes with two bars and one was fine for my car, although I used an entire bar.

You could also use another clay product if you wanted to save some money.
