How exactly do you remove the cupholders? I heard that it's just a simple squeeze and pull affair, but that doesn't seem to be working. Any tips?

Yep, that's all it takes. Seems easier if you start from one of the ends rather than squeezing the middle.

It's just that simple, can't really hurt it. Replaced my cupholders with the open tray.

1998 740i front cupholder replacement - how easy???

I need to have my front cupholder on my '98 BMW 740i replaced. Is this something I can do myself fairly easy or do I need to take it to BMW for replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced, Jim.
